Welcome to the team behind the ARTEMIS project! Our collaboration brings together dedicated individuals and organisations committed to positive change in primary education. Each partner brings their unique expertise to tackle the critical issue of peer-on-peer sexual harassment in European primary schools.
Joseph Lagrosillière Junior High School is located in Sainte Marie, a town on the Atlantic side of the island of Martinique, which is considered the heart of Martinique's cultural heritage. This heritage is made up of cultural, historical, geographical, economic and environmental elements. Its top priority is the academic success of its students, which is why the school endeavours to provide them with a safe learning environment. Civic concerns such as environmental education are prioritised. In addition, one of the main focuses of their school project is "Citizenship and Living Together". This means that developing a good relationship between students is crucial for the educational team: this goal can be achieved by emphasising gender equality and eliminating bullying and sexism in the school. Many projects are dedicated to this goal.
The University of Turin is one of the most ancient and most prestigious Italian universities. It is home to over 79,000 students and has 120 buildings in various neighbourhoods of Turin and in important locations in Piedmont. The University of Turin can be considered a “city within a city”, promoting culture and generating research, innovation, training and employment. The University conducts scientific research and offers courses in all disciplines, with the exception of engineering and architecture. It is an integral part of the community and contributes to the revitalisation of urban and suburban areas by promoting cultural interaction, social integration and development and fostering dialogue and insight into current realities.
KAINOTOMIA, founded in 2013, is a certified vocational training centre with facilities specifically designed for accessibility. KAINOTOMIA focuses on supporting various groups, including the employed/unemployed, entrepreneurs, educators and youth from vulnerable backgrounds. The aim of KAINOTOMIA is to create professional and entrepreneurial opportunities and to support seamless integration into the world of work and society. KAINOTOMIA offers personal career counselling and guidance and works with regional stakeholders to address individual needs. The organisation's commitment also extends to the introduction of innovative learning methods, with a focus on key competencies, basic skills, language skills and the effective use of ICT. KAINOTOMIA prides itself on improving the quality of training of trainers and providing trainees with flexible learning methods, virtual mobility and open educational resources. In 2021, KAINOTOMIA was selected as the only Youth Eurodesk Multiplier in Thessaly, Greece, expanding its impact across Europe.
Agrupamento de Escolas de Idães is a public school near Porto, in the north of Portugal, which belongs to the city of Felgueiras. The school consists of seven buildings and offers education from kindergarten to upper secondary level. It offers both general education, which prepares students for university or the labour market, and vocational training in the restaurant and bar sectors. The school has extensive experience with European projects, Erasmus+ and eTwinning, both as a partner and as a coordinator. The team assigned to work on this project is not only very experienced in European partnerships, but also has specific knowledge of the subject matter to be worked on.
Agrupamento de Escolas do Barreiro (AEB) is a public school in the city of Barreiro, near Lisbon. AEB offers a holistic learning experience that prepares students to succeed in the modern world. AEB participates in Erasmus+ partnerships which enrich students' lives through diverse cultural experiences and personal development opportunities on a global scale. By working with European partners, the school is continuously working to improve the digital competences of teachers and students and ensure that they are well prepared for the digital age.
OpenEurope is a non-profit association in Reus, Catalonia, dedicated to supporting young professionals to participate in European educational programmes. Its initiatives focus on the development of communication, leadership and employability skills. The association actively engages teachers, students and the community in continuous learning, particularly in areas such as civic responsibility, immigration, technology and smart cities. OpenEurope, which is accredited by the Catalan Labour Administration, coordinates internships and training for vocational students in various fields at local, national and international level. The association also offers preparatory training and counselling for students and cooperating companies.
